Traveling to Belize as a Home Owner, QRP or Long Term Stay
Requirements

Apply to visit during this phase by visiting www.COVID-19.Bz. Must submit proof of homeownership/lease in Belize or QRP ID card.

Download the Belize Health App and complete the required information.

Take a Covid-19 test at the Belize International Airport for $50 US at the traveler's expense.

If results are negative then 10 days self-quarantine at home or long term rental. Belize Ministry of Health clearance required thereafter, prior to being allowed to move freely in the country.
Traveling to Belize with Business Concerns Requirements

Apply to visit during this phase by visiting www.COVID-19.Bz. Must Submit proof of investments in Belize and provide an itinerary for the duration of the visit.

Book your stay at an approved Gold Standard hotel or provide proof of owned property.

Download the Belize Health App and complete the required information.

A mandatory PCR test within 72 hours of boarding flight to Belize. Depending on your health screening results, you may be randomly selected for secondary testing.

Take a Covid-19 test if necessary at the Belize International Airport for $50 US at the traveler's expense.

Traveling to Belize as a Foreign Tourist
Requirements

Download the Belize Health App and Complete the required information. You will then receive a unique ID to travel within the Belize Tourism Safe Corridor.

Book your stay at an approved Gold Standard Hotel.

Take a PCR test within 72 hours of boarding flight as a negative result will provide a fast track arrival process. Depending on your health screening results, you may be randomly selected for secondary testing.

You can also take a Covid-19 test at the Belize International Airport if necessary for $50 US at the traveler's expense.

Transported to approved Gold Standard Hotel by approved Ground or Air Transportation, and participate in approved tours with approved Gold Standard Tour Operators and Guides.
If a tourist arrives with a negative PCR Test taken within 72 hours of boarding the flight, they will be able to proceed to the fast track lane for expedited arrival processing.
Tourists arriving without a COVID-19 test will be swabbed at the Belize International Airport but will continue to be processed through Immigration and Customs, and then exit the airport via the Safe Corridor using approved Air or Ground Transfer. Visitors will receive their test results at their Gold Standard hotel via the Ministry of Health.
Should a passenger test positive, they will be required to quarantine at their Gold Standard hotel until the Ministry of Health gives them clearance.

There is a BZ $5,000 fine and possible two-year prison sentence, for non-compliance with host country rules regarding social distancing, movement restrictions, mask mandates, etc.
Per the Quarantine Authority upon entering Belize at PGIA, anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 will be placed in a mandatory quarantine center designated by the Quarantine Authority of Belize. Persons will be placed into quarantine at their own cost, which may be up to $110 per day for accommodation and three meals.
Once you potentially contract the COVID-19 virus while you're in Belize, you're advised to self-isolate for a minimum of 14 days or until you receive a negative COVID-19 test from Belize Ministry of Health MOH.
